Requirements
  • Matric certificate/NCV L4 plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National diploma/ bachelor's Degree) in Agricultural Science or Agricultural management having majored in Plant Production and Animal Production.
  • Must have a professional qualification in Education.
  • Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • SACE registration.
  • 1 year teaching experience in Primary Agriculture L2-L4 will be an added advantage.
  • Assessor/Moderator qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Legislation governing the sector.
Duties
  • Responsible for teaching L2-L4 Primary Agriculture.
  • Preparing assessment and moderation.
  • Conducting assessments and marking of tasks.
  • Conducting ISAT, preparation of file (POA & POE), record keeping and lesson planning.
  • Conducting classes on the above-mentioned subjects.
  • Organising relevant curricular activities to ensure that the subject, learning area of the learners is conducted in a proper manner.
  • Assess and record attainment of learners.
  • Assist with issuing and retrieval of textbooks, management of equipment, etc.
  • Organise experiential training for students.
  • Report and account for student performance in their programmes.
  • Record and report on absenteeism and perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
