QualificationsAn appropriate three (03) year's Degree, National Diploma or equivalent REQV13 qualification. Must have taught NC(V) Life Skills and Computer Literacy. Teacher qualification and SACE registration certificate. In depth subject knowledge. Excellent communication in English (written and verbal), strong organisational, planning and administrative skills. Ability to plan and deliver lessons; monitor students' performance and provide objective, professional feedback. Ability to relate to students professionally and promote a conducive learning environment. Moderator and Assessor Certificate an advantage.
ResponsibilitiesTeach Life Skills and Computer Literacy at all levels, compile and implement the POA, POE and Subjects per DHET Curriculum Instructions and Teaching and Learning Plan Framework. Assist with student recruitment, registration and induction. Facilitate academic and career development. Prepare lesson plans and deliver lectures in accordance with the College Annual Academic Plan, Campus timetable and College Quality Management System. Assess students, maintain assessment records and record marks electronically. Create a conducive classroom environment, manage discipline and maintain attendance records. Invigilate internal and external examinations. Participate in extracurricular activities and promote holistic development. Embrace the use of the Learning Management System (LMS). Report to the Senior Lecturer and liaise with Student Support Officers. Manage student support interventions.
