Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and certified Lead Social Auditor (CSCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with social and ethical standards, particularly within the frameworks of WIETA (Wine and Agricultural Ethical Trade Association), SIZA (The Sustainability Initiative of South Africa) and SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) schemes. If you are a CSCA and in Good Standing with APSCA, but don't have exposure to some of the schemes mentioned above, please still apply as training can be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive social audits in adherence to WIETA, SIZA & SMETA standards.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and provide actionable insights.
  • Lead and manage audit teams, ensuring compliance with industry protocols.
  • Support the development and mentorship of junior auditors.
Education
  • A 2-3 year tertiary qualification in Law, Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, or Agriculture.
  • Recognition of prior learning will be considered for candidates with extensive relevant experience.
Accreditation
  • APSCA Certified Social Compliance Auditor (CSCA) in good standing.
  • APSCA Membership Number and Level must be provided.
Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years post-qualification work experience (preferably 3 years in Primary Agriculture).
  • Proven audit experience, including at least 25 onsite auditor days under the guidance of a Lead Auditor, as well as 2 satisfactory audits formally assessed by competent Lead Auditors.
Technical Skills
  • Strong written, editing, and oral communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with cultural adaptability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel.
