What You'll Do

Our BCG X teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end: framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI. Our product offerings span from fully custom-builds to industry specific leading edge AI software solutions.

As a Lead/Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will partner with clients across industries and regions to architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade software and GenAI systems that transform organizations into AI-led businesses.

This role combines deep software engineering expertise with enterprise system design, hands-on GenAI implementation, and technical leadership. You will work across the full solution lifecycle-from concept and architecture through deployment and adoption-delivering scalable, production-ready systems in complex enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and deliver enterprise-grade, scalable, and maintainable software and AI systems using modern engineering best practices

  • Design and deploy GenAI and Agentic AI solutions, including conversational AI, intelligent automation, and AI-enabled SDLC transformation

  • Own technical architecture and lead delivery across the full software development lifecycle: product design, scoping, architecture, development, deployment, and scaling

  • Optimize LLM-driven systems and distributed architectures for performance, accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost efficiency

  • Provide technical leadership to engineering teams, including mentorship, architectural governance, and quality oversight

  • Guide non-technical stakeholders on AI platform strategy, implementation best practices, and enterprise adoption

  • Partner directly with clients to shape solution vision, technical roadmaps, and scalable enterprise architectures



What You'll Bring

What You'll Bring

  • Proven experience architecting and designing enterprise-grade, scalable systems in complex environments

  • Strong expertise in distributed systems, parallel computing, and large-scale architecture design

  • Experience deploying production systems on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) in enterprise settings

  • Proven experience architecting and deploying AI/GenAI solutions, including Agentic AI systems, at enterprise scale

  • Deep hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, GCP Gemini Enterprise, LangGraph, Crew AI, or similar

  • Strong programming skills (Python, C++, Scala, or similar) with a track record of delivering production-grade systems

  • Experience leading technical teams, mentoring engineers, and setting architectural direction

  • Strong client-facing presence with the ability to operate at the intersection of business and technology, including solution shaping and executive-level discussions

Nice To Have

  • Full-stack development experience (GraphQL, React, JavaScript, TypeScript)

  • DevOps tooling (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform)

  • Data engineering (SQL, Spark, Hadoop) or machine learning experience (Pandas, Scikit-learn)
