Main tasks and responsibilities (not limited to);

• Oversee all laboratory testing activities (raw materials, in-process, and finished goods).
• Ensure rubber compound testing complies with internal specifications and customer requirements.
• Approve test results and authorize release of materials/products.
• Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate test records, certificates of compliance, and traceability.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Support ISO and quality audits (internal and external).
• Support product development trials and technical improvements.
• Analyze test data to improve compound performance.
• Collaborate with Production Manager on process optimization.
• Assist with root cause analysis for product failures.
• Provide technical guidance to workshop and production teams.
• Ensure compliance with:
  • Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • ISO Quality standards (if applicable)
  • Internal SOPs and work instructions
• Maintain safe laboratory and workshop environments.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Ensure proper chemical handling and storage.
• Conduct performance reviews and monthly check-ins.
• Train staff on testing procedures and production standards.
• Ensure SOP adherence and accountability.
