As aKitchen Assistant at Air New Zealand Queenstown Airport, you'll play a key role in supporting daily kitchen operations. From food prep to dishwashing, you'll help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment while delivering friendly service and upholding Compass Group's high standards. This is a Permanent FullTime positionrostered across 7 days of the week. The successful applicantMUST be able to work during weekendsas well.
- Assist with food preparation, portioning, and plating for service.
- Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining, and public areas.
- Wash dishes and sanitise kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and manual handling procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
- Experience in a similar kitchen or catering role.
- Flexible, reliable, and physically fit with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Positive attitude and commitment to health and safety.
- NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) and experience with kitchen cleaning equipment preferred.
