MOO set out to shake up the world of print back in 2006. Today we're a 400+ strong team creating print and digital products for clients ranging from Google and AirBnB to niche craft fair designers.
Our global HQ is in London, UK, with additional offices in Dagenham, Boston (MA), East Providence (RI), Denver (CO) and Cape Town, South Africa.
The Customer Design team is a branch of the MOO Creative Department. It comprises highly talented and efficient graphic designers who primarily service our Business Customers.
MOO is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Junior Graphic Designer to join the fast growing Customer Design team in Cape Town. This entry level role will help keep up with growing demand by creating engaging designs across MOO's product range for Business Customers, working under tight deadlines and maintaining organizational, collaborative and detail oriented standards.
The Person We Want- Entry level graphical designer who can produce high quality, impactful layouts that capture and promote Business Customers' vision under tight deadlines.
- Organized, collaborative, creative and detail oriented.
- Position is fully remote due to working hours.
- You will primarily work from home with occasional attendance for monthly team meetings.
- Shift structure: 14:00 - 23:00 (SAST), aligned with US Eastern Time Zone.
- Hybrid working model based in the Cape Town CBD office, supporting UK operations.
- 3 days remote (work from home) and 2 days in office.
- Ideal for candidates who enjoy a balance of in person collaboration and remote flexibility.
- Create bespoke designs for MOO Business Customers across the full product range that adhere to brand guidelines and production specifications.
- Effectively communicate with Sales, Production and Customer Success to troubleshoot and complete design requests.
- Quality check files on screen to identify and solve customer print and/or design issues.
- Consistently meet strict turnaround times on all assignments.
- Proven knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Basic retouching skills - ability to incorporate changes on raw files.
- Basic presentation skills - ability to build presentations and present to internal and external customers.
- Fanatical attention to detail.
- Demonstrated digital print knowledge and experience with digital presses including foil and UV printing.
- Ability to read, understand and question a brief to deliver exceptional work.
- Knowledge of typography and best practices for kerning, leading, tracking and font management.
- Knowledge and awareness of current design and technology trends and how to apply them to customer design work.
- Appreciation of creative standards and design best practices.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Passionate about people - customers and internal stakeholders alike.
- Ability and willingness to adapt to change, self motivated and a team player.
- Relevant design degree or equivalent experience in an art working role.
- Portfolio required - examples of AI tool usage a plus.
