Our SchoolReddam House Helderfontein is a premier private school situated in the picturesque Helderfontein Estate Valley. The campus offers a tranquil, secure, and nurturing learning environment, encouraging teachers to bring the outdoor setting into the classroom. The school provides balanced, innovative education and weekly/termly boarding from Grade 6-12 for students from neighboring countries.
Role Summary- Adopt a holistic view of students in care, promoting their general progress and well being.
- Create a positive learning environment and motivate students to reach their full potential.
- Plan, prepare, and present engaging isiZulu lessons.
- Establish a nurturing teaching environment that promotes engaged learning.
- Behave professionally regarding punctuality, conduct, work standards, and student homework.
- Evaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice.
- Continuously develop teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
- Teach extra lessons on two afternoons per week when required.
- Produce high standard resources for students.
- Respond to emails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
- Show loyalty to all facets of Reddam House.
- Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
- Set and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
- Write report comments.
Skills and Previous Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with secondary school students.
- Confidence with the use of ICT in teaching.
- Prior experience with IEB programmes.
- Experience in a high performing international school.
Qualifications and Accreditations:
- University degree in an appropriate subject.
- Certified Teaching Status (SACE).
- Appropriate right to work.
