We are looking for driven, detail-oriented interns who are eager to gain real work experience within a fast-growing property investment, property management, and short-term rental company.

This internship offers exposure to multiple divisions within the business, allowing interns to gain hands on experience and explore potential career paths within the property and hospitality industry.

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an intern at Alimama Spaces, you will gain experience across different divisions within the company, including:

  • Customer Experience
  • Property Operations
  • Housekeeping Coordination
  • Social Media & Marketing
  • Maintenance Coordination
  • Executive Office Support

This role is designed to give interns practical experience in a real operational environment, while helping them develop skills in communication, coordination, problem solving, and business operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Experience & Guest Communication
  • Assist with managing guest enquiries and bookings on digital platforms (Airbnb, LekkeSlaap, etc.)
  • Support guest communication and reservation management
  • Assist with check-in and check-out processes
  • Support the guest review process and ensure excellent customer service
  • Monitor services such as Wi Fi, electricity, Netflix, and other amenities to ensure smooth guest experiences
  • Analyse guest feedback and booking trends
Housekeeping Coordination
  • Work closely with the housekeeping team to ensure properties are guest ready
  • Assist with property inspections and preparation for guest arrivals
  • Support cleaning and property readiness tasks when required
  • Monitor stock levels of supplies and amenities
  • Report maintenance issues and safety concerns
Social Media & Marketing Assistance
  • Assist with managing Alimama Spaces' digital platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Website)
  • Support content creation for marketing campaigns
  • Assist with analysing social media engagement and booking trends
  • Engage with clients and respond to customer enquiries through social media platforms
  • Help grow the company's digital presence and brand awareness
Maintenance Coordination
  • Assist with reporting and tracking maintenance issues
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams and service providers
  • Gain exposure to property maintenance and operational processes
Office of the Founder / Executive Office
  • Assist with project coordination and operational initiatives
  • Support with research, reporting, and administrative tasks
  • Participate in special projects assigned by leadership
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Based in Johannesburg (preferred), Pretoria, or Cape Town
  • Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required
  • Basic understanding or interest in property, hospitality, operations, finance, or social media
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • High attention to detail
  • Tech savvy and comfortable using digital tools and systems
  • Professional, responsible, and reliable
  • Strong coordination and critical thinking skills
  • A team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
