Internal Sales Professional
Job Description
We are looking for a high-performing Internal Sales professional who is far more than just an administrator. They need to be a confident driver of sales who can manage the full front-end process to support our external rep.
Key Requirements & Person Specification- Proven Internal Sales Track Record: Must have a demonstrable history of handling the complete sales cycle-from prospecting and cold calling to quoting, negotiating, and closing orders. Experience in a similar technical or industrial environment is essential.
- Exceptional Communication & Tenacity: The candidate must be very well-spoken and articulate. They need the confidence and persuasive ability to convince customers over the phone regarding technical products and services.
- Technical Aptitude: Must be able to quickly grasp technical concepts related to load testing and inspection, and our range of lifting and rigging equipment to speak credibly with customers.
- External Rep Support & Coordination: They will be responsible for managing the schedule and pipeline for an external sales rep. This includes qualifying prospects, setting up customer visits/meetings, conducting market analysis to identify leads, and ensuring the external rep's time in the field is maximized.
- Administrative Rigor & Debtors: Must be meticulous with paperwork, issuing invoices, and confidently following up on outstanding payments.
- Tender Experience: Experience with compiling and submitting tenders is highly desirable.
- Industry/Geographic Knowledge: Ideally, they will have experience dealing with mines and industrial clients in South Africa and Southern Africa, understanding the specific site requirements (safety, inductions, logistical challenges) that come with that sector.
- CRM Proficiency: Must be comfortable logging all calls and activities in a system like Syrinx (or similar CRM) to maintain accurate records.
