The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who thrives on managing complexity and scale. In this role, you will be responsible for the production software that manages our massive datasets, including records for over 340 million trees. You are a systems-minded engineer who loves managing databases at scale and ensuring our platform remains robust as our global footprint expands across 18 countries.

What you'll do
  • Build and scale the core infrastructure and external APIs to handle Aerobotics' growth and ambitious mission.
  • Own the health, performance, and scalability of our relational databases (Postgres) and data stores.
  • Contribute to the long-term technical strategy of our infrastructure and system reliability.
  • Build tools and software to automate failure recovery and performance monitoring for critical agricultural decisions.
What you'll need
  • 4+ years relevant engineering experience managing high-traffic production software.
  • Experience with relational databases like Postgres/MySQL at significant scale.
  • Experience running production systems on cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Proficiency in system design and architecture.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or equivalent).
  • Proficiency with backend languages (we use Python) and a software engineering approach to infrastructure.
  • Ability to move fast and prioritize system reliability in a high-growth environment.
