Inbound Logistics Coordinator

IMCD South Africa is looking for a dependable, talented person to provide an appropriate level of support to the sales activities of the business, by managing the operational requirements from goods ready date to delivery at the primary back door, within set and agreed upon KPIs.

Person Profile: Targeted Skills & Capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills. You will be required to liaise in a professional manner with Customers, Principals and Colleagues on all matters pertinent to your area of responsibility.
  • You must have the ability to work independently, in a team environment, and handle multiple projects. The ability to effectively prioritize is essential.
  • You are very computer literate.
  • Knowledge of JDE is an advantage.
The Position is responsible for:
  • Order Management: Ensuring that all orders are booked, shipped and delivered on time.
  • Shipment Management: Following each step in the process from pre-costings, optimal shipping options, copy documents, FEC bookings, clearance, warehouse delivery, invoicing, final costings and file checklist completion.
  • Internal customer support: Be the point of contact with the internal customer on the service desk, communicate all milestones of the shipments' progress, push information to business units and warehouses, pull information from suppliers and service providers, handle queries efficiently.
  • Driving operational excellence by ensuring data accuracy on JDE and Process Street.
  • Ensure visibility and accuracy in data and delivery options.
Expected Qualification/Education

A tertiary qualification in Logistics.

Work Experience

3-5 years proven experience in inbound logistics.

Primary Job Location

This position will be situated at 275 Oak Avenue, Ferndale, Randburg and will report into the Manager: Inbound Logistics.
