Job Description

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company is seeking to appoint a HR Officer, based in the Umhlanga area.

The HR Officer will build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to deliver effective and value-driven HR services to management and employees. The role will also support the organisation's strategic goals and ensure HR practices remain aligned with business objectives

Key Performance Areas:

  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Implement and maintain effective Industrial Relations (IR) systems, policies, and procedures
  • Coordinate and drive performance management processes in line with set timelines
  • Develop and implement succession planning and talent management strategies for critical roles
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements related to transformation reporting
  • Monitor and maintain Employment Equity (EE) compliance in accordance with organisational policies, plans, and reporting requirements
  • Facilitate the implementation of Skills Development Plans and address identified skills gaps within the organisation
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract and appoint suitably qualified talent
  • Maintain and update organisational structures and organograms

Education and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
  • 3-4 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
  • Solid understanding of HR legislation, Industrial Relations (IR), union practices and other regulatory requirements
  • Strong computer literacy with advanced MS Office skills
  • Experience with Sage 300 will be considered an advantage
