HR Officer
Job Description
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company is seeking to appoint a HR Officer, based in the Umhlanga area.
The HR Officer will build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to deliver effective and value-driven HR services to management and employees. The role will also support the organisation's strategic goals and ensure HR practices remain aligned with business objectives
Key Performance Areas:
- Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders
- Implement and maintain effective Industrial Relations (IR) systems, policies, and procedures
- Coordinate and drive performance management processes in line with set timelines
- Develop and implement succession planning and talent management strategies for critical roles
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements related to transformation reporting
- Monitor and maintain Employment Equity (EE) compliance in accordance with organisational policies, plans, and reporting requirements
- Facilitate the implementation of Skills Development Plans and address identified skills gaps within the organisation
- Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract and appoint suitably qualified talent
- Maintain and update organisational structures and organograms
Education and Experience:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology
- 3-4 years' experience in a Human Resources Generalist role
- Solid understanding of HR legislation, Industrial Relations (IR), union practices and other regulatory requirements
- Strong computer literacy with advanced MS Office skills
- Experience with Sage 300 will be considered an advantage
