Role: Senior HR Business Partner
Location: Green Point and Durbanville, Cape Town
OverviewAn established and fast-growing investment group operating accross multiple business sectors such as luxury hospitality, manufacturing and property development and investment are looking for a Senior HRBusiness Partner to build and lead the people function across theorganisation.
This is a hands-on role for a seasoned HR professional whothrives in operational environments and enjoys shaping culture from the groundup. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to create aworkplace where teams feel supported, developed and proud to contribute.
The group is looking for someone with a strong presence,practical judgment and a genuine care for people. A natural "mother-hen" styleleader who can build trust across both management and frontline teams willthrive in this environment.
Key Responsibilities- Helpdefine and embed a strong, positive organisational culture across alldivisions.
- Buildtrust with staff at every level, from management to operational teams.
- Actas a visible and approachable HR partner across sites.
- Manageall aspects of IR and employee relations.
- Handledisciplinary processes, grievances and labour matters in a fair andcompliant manner.
- Ensurelabour legislation compliance and maintain strong HR governance.
- Establishpractical HR policies, procedures and frameworks suited to operationalbusinesses.
- Overseeemployee lifecycle processes including recruitment, onboarding,performance management and retention.
- ProvideHR guidance to leadership on workforce planning and organisationalstructure.
- Leadend-to-end recruitment across operational and professional roles.
- Buildtalent pipelines and strengthen employer brand.
- Designonboarding processes that integrate employees into the culture quickly.
- Identifyskills gaps and design training programmes for operational teams.
- Coordinatepractical training initiatives such as financial literacy programmes andworkplace development workshops.
- Supportleadership development within the business.
- ImplementHR systems and reporting frameworks to support efficient peoplemanagement.
- Maintainaccurate employee records and HR documentation.
- RelevantHR qualification (Degree or equivalent).
- 7+years HR experience , with significant exposure in operationalenvironments.
- Experiencewithin hospitality, manufacturing or similar operational industries highly advantageous.
- Provenexperience operating as a true HR Business Partner , working closelywith leadership teams.
- Demonstratedability to build HR structures and culture within growing businesses .
- Comfortableworking across multiple sites.
- Naturallysupportive and people-centred leadership style.
- Highemotional intelligence with the ability to build trust quickly.
- Practical,solutions-focused approach to HR challenges.
- Strongcommunicator able to engage both executives and frontline staff.
