Job Description

Host - TSS Earnslaw & Spirit of Queenstown (Mandarin Speaking)

Step aboard two of Queenstown's most iconic vessels - the historic TSS Earnslaw and the Spirit of Queenstown - and be part of delivering unforgettable experiences for our guests.

We're looking for enthusiastic, hospitality focused Mandarin speaking Hosts to join our team and bring exceptional service to life on the water and at Walter Peak, where you'll work within the Food & Beverage Attendant team.

As a Host, you'll play a key role in the day to day running of our food and beverage service and guest experience. From welcoming guests with a warm smile (in both English and Mandarin), to setting up service areas, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and ensuring everything looks sharp and runs smoothly - your focus will be on creating memorable moments.

You'll help maintain the high standards of our dining areas and functions, and you'll be proactive in keeping spaces clean, tidy, and well stocked. Whether you're clearing tables, serving drinks, or recommending a wine that matches the food, you'll do it with confidence, care, and excellent communication across languages.

What we're looking for:

  • You're already based in Queenstown and ready to start ASAP
  • You have the right to work for an employer in NZ for at least 6 months
  • You bring at least 1 year of hospitality experience
  • You're positive, reliable, a great communicator, and love working with people from all walks of life
  • You are fluent in Mandarin and English

Enjoy amazing staff perks including heavily discounted experiences across RealNZ's adventure portfolio. Bring a friend and explore the Te Anau Glowworm Caves, cruise through Doubtful and Milford Sound, go whitewater rafting, or discover the magic of Rakiura - all without breaking the bank!
