Kendrick Recruitment is currently searching for a polished, experienced and highly guest-focused Hospitality Manager for a world-renowned luxury private game reserve in the Eastern Cape. The property is recognised for its exceptional guiding, understated elegance and immersive safari experiences.

This intimate, high-end reserve hosts discerning local and international guests across multiple lodge and exclusive-use villa settings. The successful candidate will be a natural host, a confident leader and someone who takes genuine pride in delivering an exceptional guest journey.

Salary: Market-related (details shared with shortlisted candidates)

Position: Live-in (accommodation and meals provided)

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years' hospitality management experience within a luxury lodge environment
  • Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous
  • Proven ability to lead, train and develop a guest-facing team
  • Strong food and beverage knowledge and hosting skills
  • Experience with reservations, guest administration and lodge management systems
  • Sound understanding of financial controls and stock management
  • Excellent English communication skills; additional languages advantageous
  • Comfortable living and working in a remote bush environment
  • Stable work history with excellent, contactable references
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily hospitality operations across the lodge
  • Lead, train and develop the front-of-house and hosting team
  • Ensure a seamless, personalised and consistently exceptional guest experience
  • Manage guest preferences, special requests and service recovery professionally
  • Coordinate dining experiences, special events and bush dining with the kitchen team
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and cost management
  • Maintain luxury service standards across all guest touchpoints
  • Liaise with guides, management and support teams to ensure smooth operations
  • Host agents, VIP guests and media visits as required
