  • Align the HR strategy with business strategy and ensure active execution.
  • Achieve HR and ESG non-financial KPIs.
  • Manage and monitor Employment Equity targets for the Business Unit.

HR Operations Management

  • Provide effective business partnering with leaders to identify issues/opportunities and people implications.
  • Develop and execute talent attraction and retention strategy.
  • Oversee Recruitment and Selection.
  • Implement Orientation and Induction processes.
  • Roll out and monitor HR value chain strategies (talent management, succession planning, performance management).
  • Manage Human Capital initiatives within the Business Unit.
  • Oversee submission of WSP and ATR to the SETA.
  • Implement Performance Management system.
  • Manage Employee Relations to ensure a conducive IR climate.
  • Develop and execute the BBBEE Transformation Plan, with strong focus on people elements.
  • Manage Skills Development pillar for BBBEE purposes.
  • Develop EE Plan and submit Employment Equity Report to DoEL.
  • Manage remuneration, rewards, and employee benefits.
  • Oversee payroll for permanent and contract employees.
  • Manage Employee Wellness Programme.
  • Provide SLA services to other Reunert Business Units.
  • Perform any duties within the range of skills and abilities as required.

Organisational Design & Development

  • Identify design and development initiatives, preparing business cases to support them.
  • Manage restructures and realignments in consultation with partners, ensuring operational and legislative compliance.
  • Conduct HR Due Diligence exercises as needed.

HR Governance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with Workman's Compensation, Labour Relations, Skills Development, EE, BBBEE, POPIA, FICA, and other governance requirements.
  • Develop, review and update mandatory HR/Facilities/SHE policies.
  • Ensure accurate payroll processing.
  • Oversee HR and ESG reporting.
  • Manage audits for compliance with Acts/Standards/SARS regulations.
  • Manage declaration of external interests with employees.
  • Maintain effective control environment for financial sign-off requirements.
  • Oversee effective management of the SHE portfolio to ensure safe, compliant workplace.
  • Oversee SHE audits.

Facilities, Fleet & Security Management

Oversee effective management of Facilities, Fleet and Security to ensure legislative compliance and smooth operations.

People Management

  • Provide effective leadership of HR, Central Services and SHE teams.
  • Ensure regular communication with team members on business and departmental changes.
  • Manage people processes within the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and monitor HR initiatives.
  • Communicate gaps and improvements to stakeholders.
  • Maximise capability and capacity through holistic development and motivation.

Budget Management

  • Oversee, manage and control budgets for HR, SHE, and Central Services.
  • Ensure sound budgeting and forecasting.
  • Matric (essential).
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • MBA or leadership qualification (advantageous).
  • Project Management qualification (highly advantageous).
  • HR-related courses.
  • Extensive experience in implementing best practice HR interventions.
  • HR thought leader with senior management experience and innovative HR strategies.
  • Strong understanding of procedures, systems, and controls.
  • Sound knowledge of HR management principles and practices.
  • Proven track record in change management and organisational development.
  • Experience in talent attraction and retention strategies.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (LRA, BCEA, Skills Development Act, POPIA, BBBEE, etc.).
  • HR experience within Defence/Engineering industry advantageous.
  • Overall understanding of SHE matters.
  • Knowledge of Armscor Facility and People Security Clearance requirements recommended.
