Guide Trainer

Location: Limpopo, South Africa

Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced and passionate Guide Trainer for a premier training facility located in Limpopo. This role offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual to mentor aspiring Field Guides through both theoretical and practical training, while continuing to grow their own expertise within a well-established and expanding organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom-based theory training and conduct practical field sessions including game drives and walks
  • Maintain strict safety protocols on campus and in the field
  • Assist with student logistics and off-site outings
  • Uphold and enhance high standards of training and program quality
  • Provide academic mentorship and study support to students
  • Assist in the creation and delivery of online course content
  • Contribute to social media and marketing efforts
  • Carry out campus management and general administrative duties
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on skills and experience
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Must be a South African citizen
  • VPDA (Advanced Rifle Handling)
  • Valid Driver's License and PrDP
  • DEAT Registered and SAPS Competency Certified
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Proven and extensive 4x4 driving experience
  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in luxury lodge-based guiding
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Reliable, proactive, and self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and within a team
  • Previous experience in training, teaching, or management is highly advantageous
