Job Description

Responsibilities- Read and interpret basic drawings, measurements, and job instructions.
- Measure and inspect workpieces using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met.
- Perform surface finishing, deburring, and material removal as required.
- Ensure grinding work meets quality, tolerance, and finish requirements.
- Maintain and care for grinding equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Adhere to health, safety, and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Identify and report defects, tool wear, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
- Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
- Assist with general workshop duties when required.
- Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric).
- Relevant technical or vocational training in metalwork, machining, or engineering (advantageous but not essential).
- Minimum 1-3 years' experience operating grinding machines in a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Proven experience in surface grinding, bench grinding, or hand grinding of metal components.
- Experience working with steel or heavy engineering components is an advantage.
