Job Description

An established financial services business is looking to appoint a Fund Operations Finance Associate into its operations team based in Cape Town. This role is ideally suited to a newly qualified CA(SA) seeking exposure to fund operations, financial oversight, and analytical work within a structured and fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing:
  • Overseeing finance-related activities performed by third-party service providers, including bank reconciliations, investor and broker payments, taxation processes, and commissions and rebates
  • Reviewing and resolving reconciling items on bank accounts and monitoring overdraft positions
  • Managing relationships with banking partners and attending to finance- and tax-related queries
  • Performing analytical reviews and trend analysis on client and broker data
  • Conducting data analysis to investigate operational issues and support decision-making
  • Identifying key financial and operational risks and ensuring appropriate controls are in place
  • Building strong working relationships with internal teams such as Tax, Compliance, and Operations
  • Participating in finance, banking, tax, and regulatory-related projects
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through process optimisation and automation
  • Using data and technology tools (e.g. SQL, Python, advanced Excel, Power BI or similar) to support reporting and scalable solutions
