Functional Consultant
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant to deliver sophisticated investment modelling solutions for the real estate industry. You will partner closely with clients to configure and implement software that supports financial forecasting, valuations, and portfolio optimisation.
Location and Working ModelHybrid model: 3 days working from home per week. Based in the Cape Town office.
Working HoursAligns with typical business schedules in North America and the United Kingdom, with daylight savings adjustments considered.
Key Responsibilities- Configure, customise, and implement software solutions to meet client needs across product areas.
- Act as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions to business goals and operational strategies.
- Lead the implementation of product solutions with limited supervision within agreed scope and timelines, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams.
- Translate client requirements into precise documentation and actionable solutions.
- Provide training, workshops, and ongoing support to clients, ensuring effective adoption of the platform.
- Troubleshoot technical and modelling issues, ensuring software solutions are reliable and accurate.
- Manage workload effectively, highlighting potential delays and working to maintain agreed deadlines.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by managing expectations and prioritising feedback.
- Share knowledge and mentor peers to strengthen team capability and performance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- 3-5 years of experience in consulting, implementation, or product related roles.
- Strong understanding of business processes and solution design principles.
- Exceptional problem solving, analytical, and client facing communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder expectations simultaneously.
