Freezer Warehouse Assistant

Bidfood Queenstown are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dayshift Freezer Warehouse Assistant to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring picking wholesale customer food orders from the freezers department, packing order and loading trucks, you will also be required to assist the chill, dry and fresh team when required. The role will also involve assisting with receiving, checking and storage of inwards goods, replenishment, cleaning and other warehouse tasks. 5am start time and 4x approximately 10 hour shifts. A minimum of 30 hours per week is guaranteed and maximum of 60 hours per week. The hourly rate is from $29.00-$31.00 depending on relevant qualifications and experience. Forklift use is essential for the role, Bidfood will support training and securing the license if required.

This is a freezer role, appropriate PPE and cold temperature uniform will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Organize and store products in the warehouse following safety protocols.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and updates.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Keep the freezer clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment.
• Forklift work is required, support and training provided.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or foodservice environment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
