FP&A Analyst
Job Description
Reporting to Head of FP&A, the job holder is primarily responsible for various Financial Planning and Analysis activities for Group Finance, contributing directly to financial decision making of the CFO & Executive team.
Objective of the role is to provide key insights to management on financial performance, partnering with divisions across the organisation to help achieve their goals, & building a cohesive view of organisational health and performance, as well as owning budgeting and forecasting function.
Successful candidate should be passionate about data and the link between financial information to providing insights, exceptional analytical, communication, excel and presentation skills, as well as comfortable with a faced paced environment.
Responsibilities- Responsible for assigned FP&A activities and Management Reporting (including costs & capex)
- BAU activities would include:
- Responsible for supporting the preparation of all templates and management packs for the above
- Supporting in the Consolidation of:
- Budgets
- Forecasts
- Monthly Reporting - Day 1 Pack, Monthly board pack, Capex spends, cost packs, profitability analysis, etc.
- Preparation and ownership of the monthly KPI reporting, variance investigation and departmental discussion, etc.
- Preparation of the cost reporting - monthly cost packs to all Central functions cost owners outlining month and YTD actual costs vs. Budget / Latest Forecast / Previous Year
- Tracking the capex spend vs budget for all major projects and subsequent preparation of the capex pack on a monthly basis
- Provision of all analytical reporting and support to the external reporting team, including key insights into the performance and key drivers of the organisation
- Delivering consistency in reporting across the business - consistent view of P&L, reporting, profitability etc.
- ROI tracking and modelling, where required (working with product and commercial teams)
- Supporting the FP&A managers for all central cost functions
- Building a repository of historical financial information based on business inputs
- Supporting FP&A Managers in pulling together group wide analysis and/or Ad-hoc reporting to be undertaken by this team with support from respective business
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- CA(SA) will be beneficial
- Experience in FP&A/ similar role will be beneficial
- Experience in Fintech environment will be beneficial
- 3 - 5 years prior relevant experience
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
