Forklift Driver

The Forklift Driver at the Sauce Plant is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, loading, and unloading of goods. This includes operating forklifts to transport stock, ensuring accurate inventory handling, and maintaining warehouse organization. The role requires adherence to health and safety regulations, collaboration with warehouse teams, and contributing to smooth distribution operations.

1. Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload stock within the warehouse and sauce plant.
2. Stack and store goods in the correct storage areas while ensuring proper inventory control.
3. Conduct pre shift inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition and report any faults.
4. Assist with stock control, including picking and packing orders accurately.
5. Ensure workplace safety by following all health and safety regulations.
6. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of goods.
7. Transport pallets and materials within the warehouse and loading bays efficiently.
8. Adhere to standard operating procedures and quality assurance standards.
9. Keep the work environment clean and ensure that aisles, loading docks, and storage areas are free from obstructions.
10. Operate within a food safe environment, following GMP, hygiene, and allergen control procedures.

1. Matric
2. Valid forklift license and certification
3. Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
4. Knowledge of warehouse operations and stock management
5. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
6. Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast paced environment
