Icebolethu Catering was established as means to relieve the grieving family of the added pressure of FOOD SERVICE ASSISTANT various (Fourways, Johannesburg)V (JHBFSA01) ensuring that all the guests are taken care of as our teams serve with passion and dedication. We are calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of the Catering Team Leader for Fouways Kitchen. The incumbent will be required to perform tasks supporting the Catering Department. Please note that this is both an Internal and external advert, thus applies to Fixed Term Contracts, Casual staff and external possible candidates.

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies

Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 qualification
  • Relevant qualification in the Hospitality / Catering sector or studying towards a hospitality

Experience and Knowledge required

  • Minimum of 12 months working in the Catering Sector
  • Driver's License (advantageous)

Skills and Competencies required

  • Must enjoy practical and methodical work
  • Be honest and reliable
  • Have good hand-eye coordination
  • Be able to work quickly and safely
  • Have good personal hygiene
  • Be free from skin allergies to foods and detergents
  • Have good communication skills
  • Must be able to work as part of a team.
  • Be able to bend, stand and lift.
  • Be willing to travel
  • Communicate potential problems
  • Enthusiasm and passion for the Food service industry
  • Willingness to be flexible as job dictates

Key Performance Areas

  • To ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility
  • To complete all the required check lists
  • Perform related work as assigned
  • To ensure that all the catering equipment is taken care of and the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift.
  • To report any Client Complaint or comments to the Team leader
  • To carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team.
  • To research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services
  • To assist in preparation and cooking of meals.
  • To ensure that the Company & statutory regulations regarding cleanliness & hygiene are complied with within all tasks undertaken
