IntroductionTo provide analysis and reviews on Macro Space performance using, Floor Space Allocation (FSA), highlights and available financial data to optimise, sequence and apportion floor space
- To drive the effective delivery of floor plan and fixture development at store level in support of strategic, category and format initiatives
- Utilization of multiple Floor Planning Data Points to perform what if scenario for the Category teams to optimise space performance at department level
- Ensure Department, Fixtures, Sequence, Fixture Allocation Group data is set up in FSA
- Consult with Category to inform space flex decisions & collaborate with Channel Clustering Analyst, Assortment Optimisation Analyst to review the FSA Allocation Details Report to build recommended range
- Manage all Floor Space inputs & tools to ensure delivery and improvement of rule sets and guidelines, to develop and maintain the best floor plans for our stores that meet the needs of our customers
- Continuously evaluate and optimize planograms for given categories to improve functionality, accurately reflect assortment decisions and are consistent with category strategy, visual merchandising standards and planogram optimization targets
- Develop clear and concise written directives guiding store design, store operations on efficient in-store implementation space changes and visual merchandising standards
- Provide support for store specific planogram and merchandising concerns
- Analyse SKU productivity on planograms for assigned categories and provide recommendations to improve sales and productivity of space
- Ensure effective people management and development
- Knowledge of Category merchandising principles and processes.
- Knowledgeable in in-store layouts, merchandising processes and tools required.
- Experience working on multiple categories, using facts, to determine best assortment & merchandising flow that exceeds customer expectations.
- Aptitude to assess and analyse internal & external data points & insights, managing, facilitate & deliver focused opportunity targets and vendor negotiation opportunity.
- Analytically minded with strong logic and organizational skills.
- Technical aptitude - ability to pull, organize and prioritise data.
- The ability to turn data and/or insights into clearly articulated views for business socialisation.
- Background in business intelligence tools data mining techniques.
- Background in business intelligence tools data mining techniques.
- Execution of new stores/products process using required commercial acumen.
- Experience working on multiple categories, using curated data, to determine best assortment that exceeds customer expectations.
- Understanding of customer shopping behavioural trends, competitive environment and market share.
- Aptitude to assess and analyse internal & external data points & extract key insights.
- Supporting the presentation of commercial opportunity targets in preparation for vendor negotiations.
- Highly analytically minded with strong logic and organisational skills.
- Technical aptitude - ability to pull, organise and prioritise complex data sets to improve the decision making process to optimise range.
- Previous experience in category would be advantageous.
- 3-5 years of transferable retail experience within Store Merchandising, Store Planning or Facilities Planning required.
- 5 years' experience in merchandising, space planning, store planning, or related role.
- MIS or Business Degree or equivalent experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and retail operations experience;
- Previous CPG/food & beverage experience preferred;
- Planogram software experience (i.e. JDA/BY/Apollo/Spaceman/etc.) preferred;
