LocationYou will be part of the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions and mining team.
Responsibilities- Ensure equipment is operational and installed as per design, specifications and QCP.
- Assist with commissioning equipment to ensure operations are within design specifications and safety standards; subsequently handover to client with necessary documentation and provide necessary close out reports.
- Report work progress in relation to quality standards.
- Ensure site and commissioning costs remain within estimated values by controlling sub supplier site costs, managing site instructions and extra claims, and controlling actual service hours within estimated hours.
- Evaluate machinery, equipment, systems and processes performance to decide on the need for operational maintenance in a technically highly sophisticated environment.
- Troubleshoot operational maintenance problems to secure continuous proper functionality.
- Suggest upgrades of machinery, equipment, systems and processes to ensure continuous functionality.
- Perform tests of machinery, equipment, systems and processes to ensure their functionality.
- Perform inspections/service assignments of materials/processes to assess the need for maintenance.
- Willing to perform work in underground conditions and extended working hours.
- Willing to work outside the borders of SA from time to time.
- Qualified Artisan: Fitter/Millwright.
- Experience working on winders.
- Thorough knowledge of equipment, products, site operations and maintenance.
- 5 years' working experience in the engineering discipline.
- Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Applying expertise and technology.
- Deciding and initiating action.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to cope with pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work alone and without guidance.
