A leading international engineering and process automation business is expanding its service team due to increased client demand and new service contracts. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Instrumentation Technician to step into a dynamic, field-based role supporting critical operations within industries such as oil & gas, energy, and heavy manufacturing.
Deliver high-quality on-site and in-house service, maintenance, and technical support on gas measurement equipment
Perform installation, commissioning, calibration, and fault-finding on gas analysers and continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS)
Execute preventative and corrective maintenance and verification activities
Provide diagnostics, repairs, and technical support both on-site and in workshop environments
Support customers with technical advice on applications, processes, and best practices
Facilitate customer training sessions where required
Ensure accurate and timely completion of service reports and documentation
Participate in standby rotations and SLA-driven response support
Build and maintain strong client relationships on-site
Collaborate with internal teams including Sales, Projects, and Technical departments
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and operational standards at all times
National Diploma in Industrial Instrumentation and/or Trade Test (Instrumentation Mechanician)
Minimum 5 years' experience in industrial instrumentation or process measurement
Proven experience in a field service or maintenance environment
Hands-on experience with gas analysers is essential (process plant environment, not laboratory-based)
Strong experience in installation, commissioning, calibration, and fault-finding
Exposure to continuous emissions monitoring systems (CEMS) highly advantageous
Knowledge of field communication protocols (e.g. Profibus, Foundation Fieldbus, Wireless HART) beneficial
Experience with SAP or service management systems advantageous
Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel extensively
Valid passport (or ability to obtain one)
Medically fit and able to work on industrial sites with strict safety requirements
Clear criminal record required for site access
