A premier, authentic safari lodge located in the Thornybush Game Reserve is seeking a passionate and qualified Field Guide. This role focuses on delivering exceptional, low-impact wildlife experiences, including specialized walking safaris.

• Conduct safe, informative, and engaging game drives in open 4x4 vehicles.
• Lead immersive, multi-day walking safaris and wilderness trails.
• Deliver exceptional hosting duties during meals and around the campfire.
• Maintain lodge assets, including safari vehicles, tracking gear, and firearms.
• Ensure guest safety and comfort at all times.
• Contribute to reserve conservation efforts and environmental management.

• NQF2/4 (Apprentice Trails Guide) minimum; Full Trails Guide preferred.
• Valid DEAT/CATHSSETA registration.
• Valid PrDP (Public Driving Permit) and first aid certificate.
• ARH (Advanced Rifle Handling) and valid competency certificate.
• Minimum 1-2 years guiding in a Big 5 environment.
• Excellent communication, hospitality mindset, and strong tracking abilities.
• Salary: R8,000 to R12,000 gross per month.
• Housing: Shared or single on-site staff accommodation provided.
• Meals: All meals included while on duty.
• Uniforms: Full uniform provided by the lodge.
