Job Description

An intimate and authentic safari lodge in the Balule is seeking a professional and passionate Field Guide to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the bush, strong guest engagement skills, and the ability to deliver memorable and educational safari experiences in one of South Africa's most iconic wildlife areas.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct guided game drives in the Balule Game Reserve and do Kruger Day Trips, delivering safe, informative, and engaging experiences.
  • Provide guests with in-depth knowledge of the local fauna, flora, geology, and ecology.
  • Host guests throughout their stay, ensuring exceptional service and attention to detail.
  • Maintain vehicles, equipment, and guide related areas to the highest standard.
  • Support lodge operations when required, working closely with the lodge management and team.
  • Uphold conservation ethics, safety standards, and the camp's brand values.
Requirements
  • Nature Site Guide NQF 2 (minimum), First Aid, and Cassethacompetency.
  • Valid PDP and Driver's License.
  • Registered with DEAT/LEDET- UP to date.
  • At least 1-2 years' experience guiding in a Big 5 area (Sabi Sands experience advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and hosting skills.
  • Enthusiastic, professional, and a team player.
  • Strong guest relations and storytelling ability.
  • TRAILS GUIDE Qualification will be beneficial.
