They offer an intimate, high-end guest experience on the banks of the Olifants River, and we are looking for a couple that embodies warm South African hospitality and world-class professionalism.
Field GuideRole 1: Field Guide
The successful candidate will lead immersive safari experiences, sharing deep bush knowledge and ensuring guest safety in a Big 5 environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct twice-daily game drives and guided bush walks.
- Provide engaging and educational interpretations of local flora, fauna, and ecosystems.
- Maintain vehicles and guiding equipment to the highest standards.
- Assist with guest hosting and social media content creation.
Requirements:
- NQF2
- Valid PrDP and Driver's License.
- Valid First Aid Level 1 or higher.
- Registration with the National Department of Tourism (NDT).
Role 2: F&B Manager
This role focuses on delivering exceptional culinary and beverage service, ensuring that every meal is a highlight of the guest's stay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily F&B operations, including restaurant and boma dining.
- Manage bar services, wine pairings, and stock control.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain world-class food standards and dietary requirements.
- Host guests during meals and evening entertainment.
- Manage staff training, scheduling, and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of luxury lodge F&B experience.
- Strong knowledge of international and South African cuisine and fine wines.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills, including computer literacy.
- Professional, neat appearance and exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Salary: Competitive and market-related, negotiable based on experience.
- Accommodation: Live-in position with comfortable, on-site housing provided.
