Reporting to the Construction Manager, Field Engineers are responsible to manage and direct field engineering services associated with quality, constructability, and design clashes or omissions to ensure project scope and quality deliverables are met.

The tasks you'll perform
  • Provide technical direction and support to construction teams and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the project site field engineering in designated areas of expertise to ensure that they are up to a high standard in line with the company, client, regulatory and contractual requirements, and support successful project delivery.
  • Ensure all site activities are conducted in a manner that prioritises health, safety, the environment and community and industrial relations.
  • Foster and maintain strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and contractors.
The expertise you'll bring
  • Recognised Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
  • 5+ years' experience in Engineering in minerals processing and/or related industries
  • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Strong background in field management with a broad multidisciplinary base in mineral processing plant and/or related environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
  • Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve consistently high standards within both budgetary and schedule constraints.
