About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Services Manager to manage the full technical component of commercial and retail inclusive of air conditioning, electrical, lifts, generators, elevators, etc., ensuring that the operation runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively.

What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree, National Diploma (S4), in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
  • Candidates with bachelor's degree in engineering need to have passed the OSHACT Exam as set by the Department of Labour.
  • Candidates with National Diploma in Engineering must have a Government Compliance Certificate.
  • At least 7-10 years minimum experience in a variety of technical roles with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical and electronics.
  • Experience in a large-scale retail (ideally) / commercial / industrial property environment.
What you will be doing
  • Budgeting & Expense Control (20%): Contribute to the annual expense budget and manage monthly expenses; oversee purchase orders through the Helpdesk and manage procurement within budget limits; maintain and manage the stock register, issue work orders, and complete works orders as needed; procure stock from authorized suppliers and ensure building maintenance expenses are below market rates; maintain accurate stock records and benchmark actual maintenance costs against the year on year average growth over a three year cycle; oversee preparation and approval of the annual budget plan and quarterly forecasts for Technical Services, Operational Services Building Services and Utility Services; compile a five year rolling maintenance plan in conjunction with core strategies.
