Description of the role

The banker role is within the HNW International Team based in Winelands (Stellenbosch and Paarl ). The role requires the sourcing and acquisition of new HNW clients and the ability to articulate and sell the Investec Bank Value Proposition. An understanding of HNW individuals' financial position (personal balance sheet/business structures/family structures) and the ability to identify opportunities is a key competency required in this role.

Description of your skills required and experience

• Relevant Tertiary Degree(Preferably B Acc/ CA (SA), MBA, CFA, CIMA)
• Min 5 - 6 years financial services experience
• In-dept knowledge of deal structuring
• Ability to network within the organization (Investec Wealth and Investment as well as the Specialist Bank functions in South Africa)
• Engaging andinteracting with International geographies of Investec Bank, as networking and connecting clients is critical for this role.
• Experience in WealthManagement and Structured Property Finance will be advantageous.
• Awareness andmanagement of compliance and regulatory frameworks in all dealings with clients
• People skills, with a specific passion for socializing and networking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and within a team environment.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
• Good marketing and cross-selling skills

• Being a connector and a coverage role for the clients' needs into the other divisions of the Investec Group, e.g. Investec Corporate and Investment Bank, Investec Wealth & Investment, as well as frequent engagement with International geographies is also a requirement to achieve successful outcomes.
