Job Description

Our client, a well-established operator within the iGaming and Sports Betting sector, is looking for a Sales Events & Marketing Coordinator to drive the planning and execution of high-impact events, brand activations and partnership initiatives that directly support customer acquisition, retention and revenue growth.

If you have experience in live events, commercial activations and high-energy environments get you going, this role will hit the sweet spot.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, regulated industry where timing, precision and brand consistency are non-negotiable.

The Role

Youll be responsible for delivering seamless, high-quality sports betting and iGaming events, sponsorship activations and promotional campaigns that elevate brand visibility and strengthen commercial partnerships.

Your remit will include:

  • Planning and executing internal and external events including sportsbook activations, race-day events, tournaments, launches, trade shows, conferences and client engagements
  • Managing end-to-end event delivery: venues, branding, registrations, guest experience, on-site coordination and post-event close-out
  • Supporting sales and commercial teams with event-led lead generation, VIP engagement and partnership development
  • Coordinating marketing campaigns linked to betting promotions, sponsorships and major sporting or racing calendars
  • Ensuring strict brand consistency across all event materials, digital assets and promotional collateral
  • Managing event-related suppliers and agencies, negotiating pricing and service levels to maximise ROI
  • Developing and controlling event and marketing budgets, tracking spend and measuring performance
  • Coordinating logistics including travel, accommodation, equipment, setup and breakdown
  • Ensuring compliance with operational, health and safety, and industry-related standards at all events
  • Preparing post-event and campaign reports with insights, performance data and commercial recommendations
What Youll Bring

This role is best suited to someone who understands the pace, pressure and commercial realities of iGaming, betting, racing or adjacent entertainment industries.

Youll need:

A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Marketing, Communications, Events Management or a related field

Minimum 3 years experience in events, marketing coordination, sales support or partnership roles

Experience working in iGaming, Sports Betting, Racing, hospitality, entertainment or high-volume B2C environments

Strong event planning, stakeholder coordination and project management skills

Commercial awareness with the ability to support revenue-driven initiatives

Vendor negotiation and supplier management experience

Budget management and financial tracking capability

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays aligned to sporting and betting calendars

Willingness to travel within South Africa
