Job Title: Estimator

Location: Remote (South Africa) - US Hours - 9am-5pm EST

Job Type: Full-time

Salary:South African Rand (ZAR)

Key Responsibilities
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate flooring estimates.
  • Perform digital take-offs and measurements using PlanSwift.
  • Apply Callidus (Carpet Software) for carpet and flooring-specific estimating.
  • Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates and revisions for future reference.
  • Provide timely updates and reports to management on bid progress and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within flooring or interior finishes.
  • Strong familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and project workflows.
  • Proficiency in PlanSwift (easy-to-use estimating software).
  • Proficiency in Callidus (carpet and flooring estimating software).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
