Job Title: Estimator
Location: Remote (South Africa) - US Hours - 9am-5pm EST
Job Type: Full-time
Salary:South African Rand (ZAR)
Key Responsibilities- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate flooring estimates.
- Perform digital take-offs and measurements using PlanSwift.
- Apply Callidus (Carpet Software) for carpet and flooring-specific estimating.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and suppliers to ensure estimates align with project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Identify potential risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Maintain organized records of estimates and revisions for future reference.
- Provide timely updates and reports to management on bid progress and outcomes.
- Proven experience in construction estimating, preferably within flooring or interior finishes.
- Strong familiarity with construction processes, terminology, and project workflows.
- Proficiency in PlanSwift (easy-to-use estimating software).
- Proficiency in Callidus (carpet and flooring estimating software).
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- Comfortable working U.S. hours
