Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary Theatre

An Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary is required at Life Bedford Gardens Hospital theatre, reporting to Bongiwe Ncgongo, Unit Manager Theatre.

The successful candidate will ensure uncompromising quality care in line with company strategic objectives and applicable health/nursing legislation.

• Attend and participate in Q programs, ensuring induction training is conducted.
• Complete monthly Q evaluator cards and report to shift leader or unit manager.
• Participate in review and ward meetings to ensure conformance to QMS audit standards.
• Perform and comply with infection control standards, PPE procedures.
• Adhere to safety measures.
• Ensure correct and accurate stock administration.
• Report patient movements on discharge or transfer.
• Use and maintain equipment properly.
• Minimise and justify personal absenteeism.
• Work flexible hours to minimise agency costs and assist other departments.
• Perform and complete tasks to maximise patient care.
• Maintain patient hygiene, comfort, safety per nursing care plan.
• Use correct techniques and wear PPE for wound and fracture healing.
• Monitor and record patient fluid intake.
• Manage and prepare for surgical and diagnostic procedures.
• Build and maintain healthy relationships with internal and external customers.
• Support orientation of new staff members.

• Registered as an Enrolled Nurse Auxiliary with SANC.
• Current registration with relevant professional/regulatory body.
• Experience in theatre essential.
• Understanding of private healthcare industry advantageous.
