Engineer Reliability
Job Description
To provide a service function to the production and maintenance function, purposed to employ sound reliability engineering principles and methods, to reduce the risk of poor performance and reliability to production plans and budgets caused by equipment reliability issues and to drive the implementation of the asset management framework and development of appropriate maintenance strategies for individual equipment, which include but not limited to:
- Continuous improvement
- Budget and cost control
- Implement change initiatives
- Asset Management
- Condition monitoring and analysis
- Life cycle management and risk management
- Audits, over inspection and optimization
- People management and stakeholder relations
- Contractor management and support functions
- SHERQ adherence and compliance
- Work ethics.
(Essential unless otherwise indicated)
- Grade 12 certificate
- B Engineering or B Tech degree in Mechanical/Electrical
- Diploma (3 years) in Mechanical/Electrical (Recommended)
- Certificate: GCC (Mines and Works) (Recommended)
- Diploma/Degree in Project Management in Construction/ Heavy industrial/ Mining (Recommended)
- Registered Professional Engineer (ECSA) (Recommended)
- Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professional (SMRP) (Recommended).
- Minimum of 5 (five) years operational experience in the maintenance of plant equipment (mining, plant and industrial environment).
- Minimum of 4 (four) years' management experience in asset management and reliability.
- Minimum of 2 (two) years operational RCM and RCA facilitation experience.
- Minimum of 2 (two) years operational experience within MHSA and the OHS acts (Recommended).
