MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To present and facilitate Higher Education and Training programmes and courses to Mediclinic students and employees in order to acquire competence (incl. cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills) as independent healthcare practitioners on completion of training.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
  • Ensure compliance to Higher Education & Training standards
  • Ensure compliance to American Heart Association (AHA) standards (if applicable)
  • Design and assess learning material and interventions
  • Facilitate learning process, incl. theoretical and clinical facilitation
  • Coordinate and administrate student-related processes
REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL:

Degree in Emergency Medical Care

DESIRED:

  • Diploma in Education
  • Master's Degree
  • PhD in Emergency Medical Care
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL:

  • 2-3 years' experience in field of speciality- Emergency Medical Care
  • 1 year's experience in a training capacity
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Adult Learning Principles
  • Blooms taxonomy of assessment and evaluation
  • Group facilitation tools, techniques, technologies (including e-learning tools and technology) and best practices
  • Instructional Design (ADDIE model) and the application thereof
  • Understanding of learning and development quality management
  • Workplace assessment
  • Nursing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Demonstrate competence in Mediclinic skills plan compilation procedures
  • Training needs analysis, design and evaluation (including curricula development)
  • Scholarly skills
  • Mediclinic Training and Emergency Medical Care Policies and Procedures
  • Moderation
  • Education and Training legislation and other relevant healthcare related legislation and its application within Mediclinic, MHR and Emergency Medical Care training environment
