Electrical Technician - Manufacturing

Our client is seeking a skilled Electrical Technician to provide electrical engineering and technical support within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will ensure optimal equipment performance, minimise downtime, and maintain high safety and operational standards.

• National Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Automotive Engineering or Information Technology (NQF 6).
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Electrical or Electronic Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC programming experience.
• Experience with robotics and automated systems.
• Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP, and MES systems).
• Trade Test qualification.

• Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on factory equipment.
• Conduct fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on electrical systems and machinery.
• Complete and close maintenance job cards accurately and on time.
• Maintain and support PLCs, robots, and automated systems.
• Ensure machines and processes operate efficiently and according to specifications.
• Provide technical support to production and factory teams.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on equipment failures.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and regulations.
• Assist with cost control initiatives and reducing operational waste.
