Electrical Maintenance Technician - Plant Fault-Finding

Job Description

A well-established manufacturing operation is seeking a qualified Electrician to join its maintenance team in Port Elizabeth. This role focuses on electrical fault finding, repairs, preventive maintenance and production support to ensure minimal downtime and optimal equipment performance across the plant.

You will be responsible for diagnosing equipment failures, performing electrical repairs, supporting planned maintenance schedules, completing maintenance documentation, and assisting production teams with technical support. Exposure to training apprentices and working within strict safety and compliance standards will be advantageous.

Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (NQF 4)
  • Trade Test: Electrician or Millwright (NQF 5)
  • Up to 3 years' electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer literacy, including MS Office and ERP/SAP systems
  • Sound understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance practices
  • Strong fault finding and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced production environment
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service
