Beautiful Lodge Located in the heart of South Africa's first UNESCO World Heritage Site,the Lodge offers immersive safaris, private boat cruises, full-day beach excursions and close-up wildlife encounters on Lake St Lucia's shores- providing an extraordinary gateway to the miracle and wonders of iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
The Duty Manager/ Lodge Managerwill assist inoverseeing the daily operations of a lodging facility, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction. Looking for someone with a hands-on approach to facility maintenance, environmental conservation, and emergency preparedness.
Core Responsibilities- Guest Experience:Manage the entire guest journey from arrival to departure. This includes greeting guests, handling check-ins/outs, resolving complaints promptly, and ensuring a personalized "at home" atmosphere.
- Management:Supervise daily activities across all departments, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage (F&B), and maintenance.
- Financial Oversight:Manage budgets, monitor income and expenses, set lodging rates, and handle administrative tasks like payroll and invoicing.
- Staff Leadership:Recruit, train, and mentor staff. This involves scheduling shifts, conducting performance appraisals, and fostering a positive work culture.
- Property & Maintenance:Ensure the physical facility is well-maintained, clean, and safe. In remote settings, this often includes overseeing off-grid power, water systems, and grounds upkeep
- Education:A bachelor's or associate's degree inHospitality Management,Business Administration, or a related field is typically preferred.
- Experience:Generally requires 3-5 years of management experience in high-end (4 or 5-star) hospitality environments. with great people skills
- Live in with Meals on Duty.
- Leave: 7 Days per month
