Overview

Isabelle Ramdoo is the Director of the IGF Secretariat, responsible for overseeing its operations and executing the IGF mission. An economist with over 25 years of experience in trade and industrial policies, Ramdoo served as a trade negotiator for the Government of Mauritius. Prior to being appointed as Director in 2025, she served as IGF Deputy Director since 2020 and led key IGF initiatives, notably on local content and critical minerals. She also worked as a Senior Linkages and Investment Advisor for the African Minerals Development Centre, where she provided strategic advice to African governments and was responsible for linkages and local content.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee IGF Secretariat operations and execute the IGF mission.
  • Provide leadership as Director, building on experience as Deputy Director since 2020.
  • Lead key IGF initiatives, notably on local content and critical minerals.
  • Advise governments on trade, linkages, and investment strategies in Africa.
Qualifications
