About the Role

The Digital Account Executive is responsible for generating advertising revenue across digital platforms. This includes achieving monthly and annual sales targets, preparing tailored proposals, managing the onboarding process, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agencies, and brand partners. The role requires strong market awareness, accurate reporting, campaign oversight, and the ability to deliver digital advertising solutions aligned with client marketing and communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual digital sales targets
  • Prospect, negotiate, and close new business opportunities
  • Secure and manage annual client commitments and group discounts
  • Ensure revenue and billing contracts are processed timeously
Client Liaison
  • Manage the client onboarding process
  • Build, maintain, and grow strong relationships with clients and agencies
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding client objectives and challenges
  • Deliver accurate and timely responses within a 24 hour turnaround time
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction and encourage repeat business
Proposal & Campaign Management
  • Conceptualise, prepare, and present customised digital advertising proposals
  • Provide digital sales opportunities to internal teams and clients
  • Monitor campaign performance and prepare post campaign reports and ROI analysis
Administration & Reporting
  • Submit accurate forecasts, revenue reports, and campaign performance updates
  • Ensure correct billing, contract processing, and month end submissions
  • Resolve internal queries promptly to avoid discrepancies
Market & Industry Analysis
  • Stay informed on digital and media trends, innovations, and audience insights
  • Use analytics tools to inform proposal development and campaign optimisation
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of our clients' offerings and client portfolios
Requirements Qualifications
  • National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) - Essential
  • National Diploma in Sales or Marketing (NQF 6) - Essential
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Digital Sales or Digital Marketing - Essential
Technical Competencies
  • Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced
  • Google Analytics: Intermediate
  • Google Ad Manager: Intermediate
  • DV360 or Trade Desk: Basic
  • English proficiency: Intermediate
  • Code B Driver's Licence - Essential
