Job Description

Main job function
  • Oversee and manage all Hot Foods department
  • Management of a team of subordinates
  • Creating and managing menu / range
  • Managing the existing home replacement meals
  • Manage kitchen and production staff
  • Continuous quality inspection of all products
  • Planning/ leading/ organizing and controlling all activities in the Department
  • Achieve monthly GP and targets
  • Handle all administrative matters pertaining to the Department
  • Maintain product range and presentation
  • Perform regular price surveys on competition
  • Shrinkage and Waste Management in all production processes
  • Receive stock
  • Monthly stock takes
  • Check food weighing and portioning
  • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food weighing, portioning and packaging
  • Establish portion sizes and packaging
  • Schedule kitchen staff shifts
  • Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
  • Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
  • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen
  • Checking food temperature
  • Maintain a fully stocked kitchen inventory
  • Comply with safety and cleanliness standards.
Education
  • Matric
Experience
  • Minimum three years' experience
  • MS Office
