Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and well organised Lamination Supervisor with solid foundations in lamination techniques and a strong appreciation for the aesthetics of completed work.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Assign daily tasks in accordance with the weekly resource allocation.
- Ensure allocated tasks are driven toward completion in line with the production schedule.
- Improve production efficiency while maintaining SW standards.
- Continuously seek improvements in quality, waste reduction, production timing, and staff skill levels while keeping the team motivated and fostering a positive team culture.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and follows best practices.
- Proven experience in boat building or the composite FRP industry, with knowledge of various techniques used in composite manufacturing to the highest standards.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in a supervisory capacity (e.g., Supervisor or Team Leader).
- Strong understanding of lamination techniques, including wet layups, vacuum bagging, and infusion.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent organisational and planning skills are essential.
- Strong leadership and self motivation to achieve departmental KPIs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and provide instructions based on construction drawings, while identifying potential issues or production bottlenecks.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to promote neatness and accuracy in work carried out by team members.
- Sailing or yachting experience is considered an advantage.
