Our client, a leading global provider of claims management and loss adjusting services, is seeking dedicated Customer Service Advisor to join their incident response team in Cape Town. As the first point of contact for customers at the start of their claims journey, you'll play a vital role in supporting people during stressful times. Your interactions will range from handling home emergencies requiring immediate solutions to managing substantial property damage that may develop into full insurance claims. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to build or advance their career in property claims handling within the insurance sector.

About the Role

You'll be working as part of a dynamic incident response team, handling:

  • Home emergency calls requiring instant remedy and coordination
  • Property damage claims that may elevate to full insurance claims
  • Customer support throughout the initial claims process
  • Multi stakeholder communication with policyholders, insurers, and contractors
Working Hours & Flexibility

We're recruiting for various shift patterns to suit different lifestyles:

  • Full time flexi shifts: 7 hour shifts, 5 days per week
  • Core hours: Between 8am - 8pm, Monday to Sunday
  • Advance notice: Shift patterns provided at least 6 weeks in advance
Essential Skills & Experience: What You Need Now
  • Customer service experience in an office environment - min 2 years
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written in English
  • Ability to interact professionally with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and various stakeholders
  • Calm and composed approach to handling customers in stressful situations
  • Strong listening skills and empathy
