Customer Performance & Supply Analyst About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Customer Performance & Supply Analyst to join a well-established wholesaler based in Epping, Cape Town. This role plays a key part in improving customer performance through data-driven insights, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and enhancing overall supply chain efficiency. You will act as a bridge between customer relationship management, data analysis, and supply coordination.

Customer Performance & Relationship Management
  • Monitor and analyse customer performance metrics (fill rate, delivery, returns).
  • Identify performance gaps and support corrective actions with sales/operations.
  • Share insights with key account managers and support customer improvement plans.
  • Maintain dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Assist with customer queries to enhance service levels.
Data Analysis & Insights
  • Analyse sales and supply chain trends to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Use BI tools (Power BI, Excel, Tableau) to visualise data.
  • Present insights and recommendations to internal teams and customers.
Inventory & Supply Coordination
  • Work with planning and operations to reduce inventory discrepancies.
  • Monitor supply chain KPIs (lead times, stock availability, safety stock).
  • Support alignment between customer demand and inventory status
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Data Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2-3 years' experience in sales operations.
  • At least 1 year of experience in wholesale, distribution, or B2B sales administration.
  • Knowledge of order processing and customer account management.
  • Familiarity with inventory systems and stock management processes.
  • Experience using wholesale/distribution software for data entry and reporting.
Technical Skills
  • Strong Excel abilities (formulas, pivot tables, formatting, basic automation).
  • Familiarity with business systems reporting functions.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of wholesale/distribution processes and terminology.
