Credit Controller (B2B Key Accounts High Impact Role)

A well-established B2B supplier is looking for a confident and proactive Credit Controller to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with national clients, manage the full credit control function, and contribute directly to the financial health of the business.
What You'll Be DoingYou'll take ownership of the full debtors function, ensuring efficient collections, accurate reconciliation, and strong client relationships.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively managing and collecting outstanding debt from corporate clients
- Releasing orders in line with credit limits and account status
- Processing and reconciling invoices and credit notes
- Posting daily receipts (cash, EFT, card payments) onto Sage 300 ACCPAC
- Preparing statements, age analysis, and reconciliation reports
- Managing payment follow-ups, repayment plans, and final demands
- Handling queries, disputes, returns, shortages, and pricing issues
- Supporting monthly cash flow forecasting and reporting
- Opening and maintaining customer accounts, including credit applications
- Managing credit insurance and credit limits via Credit Guarantee
- Liaising with external debt collectors where required
- Providing support to the sales team during peak periods
- Overseeing filing systems and ensuring accurate document management
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller in a B2B / corporate environment
- Strong experience managing large or national accounts
- Solid understanding of reconciliations, collections, and credit risk
- Experience working on Sage 300 ACCPAC or similar ERP systems
- Ability to handle high volumes and tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage corporate clients
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Work with large, well-known corporate clients
- Take full ownership of the credit control function
- Be part of a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
- Play a key role in improving cash flow and financial performance
