JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:- Prepare and update Controls & Instrumentation design deliverables, including:
- Instrument loop diagrams.
- Instrument hookups.
- I/O lists and cable schedules.
- Control system architectures.
- Panel and JB layouts.
- Interpret and work from P&IDs, control philosophies, and technical specifications.
- Collaborate closely with Controls & Instrumentation Engineers and multi disciplinary design teams.
- Ensure designs comply with:
- Project standards and procedures.
- Applicable industry and company instrumentation standards.
- Hazardous area classification requirements.
- Support construction, commissioning, and as built documentation.
- National Diploma (or Draughting N5/6 equivalent) in:
- Instrumentation.
- Electrical Engineering.
- Mechatronics.
- Related technical discipline.
- 3+ years' experience as a Controls & Instrumentation Draughtsman / Designer within:
- Mining
- EPC / consulting engineering projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD / MicroStation
- Experience producing documentation for:
- PLC systems
- DCS systems
- SCADA systems
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet project deadlines
- Comfortable working in a project execution / consulting environment
- BricsCAD - 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and BIM
- AutoCAD - 2D drafting and 3D design
- MicroStation - Infrastructure, civil, rail, and industrial project environments
- SmartPlant - e.g. SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant P&ID
(SPI / AVEVA Instrumentation experience advantageous)
